Smart Crew is doing something positive for the community this Holiday Season (You officially can't say we never did.) Throughout NYC, you will see a bunch of Smart Crew Cares © Donation/Redemption boxes (locations of these boxes are listed on www.smartcrewcares.com). We will also be distributing thousands of FREE Smart Crew Cares © limited postcards/vouchers to redeem gifts FROM these boxes. I know there has been some confusion about how this program works and what we are getting out of this project. I have compiled a quick FAQ below:

WHERE DO I GET THE "SMART CREW CARES © HOLIDAY CARDS"?
We will be distributing thousands of FREE Holiday postcards throughout the city. We will not list the locations, but just think retail shops or restaurants where you would find flyers, etc... With each card, you can redeem (one) 1 item from the Smart Crew Cares © Donation/Redemption boxes. You can also just use these cards as a Holiday postcard.



HOW DO I DONATE?
EVERYONE is encouraged to donate to the Smart Crew Cares © boxes. You can feel free to donate ANYTHING (in near new condition) as long as you feel that it will help someone else out. There are currently all sorts of random items in these boxes including brand new white out pens, brand new ps2 games, magazines, clothing, beer tokens, dvd players, stickers, canned food, etc... At the end of this program (1/3/2009), we will be donating the remaining items to a charity of OUR choice (or personally giving them to people in need.) We can also arrange pick-ups if you don't have the time to go donate the items yourself.

HOW TO I REDEEM A GIFT FROM THE BOX?
Using the "Smart Crew Cares © Holiday card", you can redeem (one) 1 item per card from any donation/redemption box in the city. You must surrender your card to the store owner/employee when you get your FREE item.

WHAT DOES SMART CREW GET OUT OF THIS?
Absolutely NOTHING! This is the ONLY charity NOT funded by the government and with NO monetary intentions. (The same way graffiti is the only form of art that is not done (and should not be done) for galleries to be SOLD in.) We also just care. (No, this is not a scam.)

WHY DO YOU GUYS THINK THIS IS FUNNY? THIS SHIT IS CORNY...
No one said that this was supposed to be funny, thugged out, hip-hop, graffiti-related or corny in any way... Smart Crew Cares © is actually very SERIOUS.
