Flashback: "Triboro, So Thorough, Always"

Back in the day (4 days ago), the RFK Bridge was actually known as the "Triborough Bridge."  All you young kids may not remember this.  They changed it way back when the economy was shit and NY decided it was a good idea to spend $4 milliion* to replace all the road signs for the bridge.  Here is an old photograph of the sign right before they changed it:

Reminds me of when the Jackie Robinson Pkwy (voted most dangerous pkwy in 2007) was originally known as "Interborough Parkway."  Here's a depiction of it, circa 1940:
