Queens 2001
The end of an era...
At the time:
- You could still smoke in restaurants and bars
- It was called "Bomb The Sytem" and "Phun Phactory"
- Etch slowly made its debut in NYC
- Hip-hop was garbage and all over the radio (nothing much has changed)
- You could actually walk around Broadway down in Soho without getting blinded by bright colors and "street wear"
- Not everyone and their mom was into kicks, lo, etc... (ebay was still a gold mine for gear)
- Gas was still way under $2/gallon
- At the movies: Blow, Bully, Freddy Got Fingered, Snatch, Training Day
- Depot (and many other stores) were still giving straight cash back
- Before everyone had digital cameras, ipods, myspace, etc...
Hscunt, Docr, Disq, Hefner:
It all felt like yesterday.
One month later, our city would not be the same...
